Party Weekend

On Saturay Night, our good friends Patrick and Jessica threw a party at their home in honor of Matt. It was a Bon Voyage/Enjoy your Desert Getaway Party. Matt claims he was surprised, but I don't know how much I believe him. Here's a pic from the night:



On Sunday, we had some friends over together for a Northern Virginia friends/family birthday cookout.

It was Matt's first time operating a charcoal grill and he did pretty well. Under the tutelage of some Texas A&M friends he was able to cook burgers and bratwurst safely and effectively. I prepared a spread of guacamole (it was delicious), chips, beans, chili-lime corn and of course, cake!

Sydney is an old pro at eating cake - she recognized it immediately. Once again, she devoured it and enjoyed ALL the attention from the wonderful people who attended her party.
