Play Date

Today, we had a play date with Sydney's friend Bridgette and her dad, Adam. We were going to meet by the cherry blossoms at the Tidal Basin, walk around in the beautiful sunny weather and take pictures of the baby with the flowers. It was a massive FAIL. Too many tourists, not enough parking and a brutal rainstorm blew most of the blossom petals away two days ago.

Here are the best pics I got of the blossoms:

The one good thing about the cold weather was that Sydney got a nice fresh-air nap. The hot dog vendor who we bought a bottle of water from complimented me on my lambswool Snuggle Bub. He said I looked like a good mom who cared about her daughter. It made me smile!

We decided to back across the bridges and get lunch our favorite Thai restaurant down the street from our house. We had some spicy dishes, while the babies enjoyed chewing on their plastic spoons, eating crackers and sharing a biscuit. Sydney would take a bite, pass it to Bridgette, who would take a bite and then start all over again.
