I used to read the baby boards and web sites when Sydney was a brand new baby and learned something of this mythical "4 month wakeful period." Well. I am here to tell you that it absolutely true.
Sydney has been sleeping through the night (for baby standards) since 8 weeks old. We have enjoyed sleeping together all in the same bed with quick nighttime feedings. The past week, she has started fighting sleep at the beginning of the night and waking up 2, 3...sometimes 4 times in an evening. Not only does she wake up, but she screams, talks fusses and cries for a good 20 minutes each time.
We are exhausted and pray that this passes soon.
Yuck. Go away 4 month wakeful period.
