Two movers and a truck showed up at 10 a.m. and worked until 6:30. They took our 600 lbs of air freight and our consumables at the end of the day. It was a fun challenge to decide what goes in air freight and how close to the weight limit we could get. I weighed stuff on a bathroom scale diligently throughout the week and prioritized household requirements, clothes and toys (in that order.) Youbwould be amazed at how heavy Legos are!

The living room was dedicated for all thing that were to go in UAB (air freight) and drove me crazy all week. As a very neat and organized person, the disorder of packout makes me start to twitch.
This is my partial pile of consumables. I often get asked, "Don't they have Ranch dressing/beer/wine in Abuja?" The answer is Yes, however American goods are costly. I don't want to bankrupt myself when an expat craving hits!
For certain posts around the world, one is allowed to bring several hundred pounds of consumables. Although Amazon Prime and Walmart will ship to our address, it takes several weeks to arrive and liquids and liquid-like products are prohibited. Feel free to mail me snacks via Amazon. Note the amount of peanut butter, maple syrup, Thanksgiving ingredients, Ranch dressing, salsa and baked beans.
