Welcome, 2011

The holidays were very low key this year. We didn't travel home to Chicago, but instead spent a quiet Christmas and New Year's in Virginia. Sydney got her first hair cut at a local salon in January. Michelle (Auntie Em) came to visit us for a week. She did lots of sightseeing and spent some quality time with Syd and Jack. We watched a lot of Wonder Pets on Nick Jr. (man, those songs sure do get stuck in your head.)

The kids are now 2.5 and 11 months. Jack is pulling up and crawling all over the place. He will probably be walking any day now! He eats almost all table food now and cannot get enough of real food like hummus, chicken, turkey meatballs, pears, bananas, Cheerios and of course, Goldfish crackers!

Sydney is using so many words in sentences, singing, dancing, hopping, skipping and loving playing pretend kitchen, doll house, babies etc. We are attending preschool open houses in preparation for next fall. It is truly a joy to see then develop and grow.
