Potty Training

After spending $200 in one day on diapers, formula and baby wipes at Costco last weekend, we decided that it is finally time to potty train Sydney. It has been a good time because a) the weather is awfully hot and I do t want to take kids outside b) I'm on summer vacation and c) Jack is pretty laid back and still sleeps a lot.

Day 1 - six accidents

Day 2 - only 2 accidents. Syd got LOTS of stickers this day. It seemed like the bladder training was already there and it just clicked today that she needs to use the potty. We had an A-HA moment when I realized that Sydney needs privacy to use the potty for #2. She kept telling me "Mommy, bye bye!" and closing the door. Sure enough, once she had some peace and quiet all was well with bowel training.

Day 3 - one #1 accident, one #2 semi-accident (too many prunes in the afternoon) but many successful uses of the potty today!!!! We even went out for 1.5 hours in the morning to visit Ms. Peggy and Syd's little friends.
