On Saturday, we went to my new school to finish setting up my classroom. Then, Matt and I had lunch with one of Matt's colleagues and his wife. They showed us around their neighborhood and their condo.
On Sunday, we went to Chart House in Old Town Alexandria to have a brunch with Kersten and her boyfriend Omar. They are D.C. experts and we enjoyed all their stories about work and their advice for being new to the area.
On Monday, we went to our neighbors barbeque and Matt's cousin's barbeque. Sydney was able to meet her second cousins, Logan and Kayleigh. It was great to see friends - new and old. We were exhausted by Sunday evening, but it was worth it!
